Steroid pills for eczema

I got this in May…right after I had a severe panic attack,, I had been dealing with alot of stress, I had two children with in 22 months of each other, and dealing with postpartum,, I have not been able to get back to my ole’ self. All the anxiety, stress, depression, panic attacks, I could feel the tow it was taking inside me, I believe for me, it is 100% related to the panic attacks, stress etc.. I agree with the article, and in general if I got more excercize I think it would help,, I had eczema on all my fingers, and have been taking a type of steroid creme to put on my fingers,, now it is mainly my thumb, at times it feels raw and hurts most the time,, how I would love to feel my babies soft skin without the roughness of my peeled rough skin.. some of the tips of my fingers feel a little numb. I am doing my best to try and take it easy, not stress so much,, excercize is hard, having the two little ones with no one to watch, and I can’t afford a gym membership,,just wanted to tell you all to hang in there,,

Hi Micky, I just found you in the spam comnments, which I rarely look at since they are normally people like ‘porn star babes’ or ‘hot and horny’. Imagine my surprise on finding you there! Great comments. I am going to look into Vitamin D and check out that cream, AND read your article about eczema creams. I a lot of them aren’t great. I think mine contains SLS but I find nearly everything else will irritate my skin, I’m so sensitive. Aloe vera is great but not moisturising enough. Thank you so much for sharing and so glad I found this! You are doing great with the links too. Blogs are all about sharing so keep em coming. Thanks again Micki. Ruth. PS. I am much better. A few stubborn patches but I’m sleeping again (what a relief) and much less itchy and stressed out.

Justine's recommendation is to ensure that you complete the time period prescribed to you, applying the creams even if the symptoms disappear during this time - this is known as treating beyond the point of "clinical clearance". By treating it in this way there is less risk of a rebound flair. Prolonged use of steroids can result in thinning of the skin and in some cases stretch marks can develop. If you are prescribed additional steroid cream use by your doctor or dermatologist, it is usually recommended that your skin is afforded a break between treatments. If you are unsure, check with your doctor and do not use for prolonged periods without expert advice.

How does eczema start? I had one regular blister on my foot that would not heal. Within 2 weeks, I had many tiny blisters. The initial blister did heal. I have been dealing with these blisters for 5 months now. I went to the doc 3 times. The last specialist said I am experiencing stress…which I am, which makes the eczema worse. She said leather shoes are better than tennis shoes. She told me to stay hydrated inside and out. She prescribed me a cream that I took to reduce the inflammation, but I try not to use. I wear socks with everything to avoid friction on my feet. I am on my feet most of the work day. Even power walking gives me blisters and irritates the tiny blisters. I miss my feet. I was eating healthy prior to all this…it is a struggle now, just balancing all of life’s demands. I am glad to find your blog. Any helpful advice welcomed.
